Chris Rock was on The Oprah Show to talk about his new film, Good Hair that hits movie theaters October 9^th.  In the film he documents a funny, but truthful topic about black women and their hair.  The black hair industry makes 9 billion dollars a year and this film is going to tell you why.  Black women watch out! On May 12th, Tyra Banks brought to the light a serious topic  about hair in the African American Community.  She posed the question, Do you have that “good hair?”  And what is good hair?  As many of you have heard, good hair is hair that is not kinky, coarse or short.  This is a topic that I am glad is being brought to the fore front because this topic of good hair vs. bad hair effects African American women self- esteem and health.  If you haven’t seen the preview, click on the link below.
